Something I noticed about Treme this last week – David Simon packs his entire hour full of show. So many of the other HBO shows – True Blood, Entourage, etc., cut off at the exact bare minute mark (22 or 42) they can get away with, clearly because the only thing they’re interested in is having the shows be syndication ready as soon as they pile up enough crappy episodes. It’s a minor detail but just goes to show how much respect Simon has for what he’s been given.
