Groupblogs

May 27th, 2006 | brainjuice

Groupblogs have long interested me, at least as a concept. I don’t really read a lot, though. I check boingboing every day or two. My pygmy wife just joined the team at Kotaku. 3quarksdaily kind of got away from me. I occasionally look at Defamer, and follow K10K every day. And that’s about it for groupblogs.

Recommend me some good ones. Please leave out comics groupblogs and the Nick Denton stuff, as I’m aware of them. Thanks.

MP George Galloway has said it would be “morally justified” to assassinate Tony Blair, but stressed he was not calling for his death.

In an interview with GQ magazine he was asked whether a suicide bomb attack on Mr Blair would “be justified as revenge for the war on Iraq”. He said it would be morally equivalent to Mr Blair “ordering” Iraqi deaths.

“Yes it would be morally justified. I am not calling for it, but if it happened it would be of a wholly different moral order to the events of 7/7. It would be entirely logical and explicable, and morally equivalent to ordering the deaths of thousands of innocent people in Iraq as Blair did.”

He was also asked whether he would alert the authorities if he knew Mr Blair was to be assassinated by Iraqis.

Mr Galloway replied: “My goodness this is a moral maze…”
