His first non-fiction book, from FSG, is due in 2014. RED 2, the sequel to the Bruce Willis-Helen Mirren film RED based on his book of the same name, will be released in August 2013.

London is very much getting into the ambient monitoring thing these days. I remember reading something a while back about listening posts being tested within the Square Mile that would just record the surrounding environmental noise and could be programmed to pick out certain sounds to focus on… like “terrorist phrases” as I recall. What else could they be good for other than surveillance, I wonder.
A related NYT story on how Cario is the loudest city in the world, averaging 85 db’s all day and night. That’s like having a jackhammer going off next to your ear constantly.
