  1. I have to pass on this potential link – this somewhat new blog is friggin’ hilarious, offbeat, pithy, and totally informative at the same time! Seriously the most riotous entertaining health site I have seen. http://www.marksdailyapple.com. I dig it…and their little Fuming Fuji guy. Do NOT miss it! WebMD it ain’t (and it’s definitely not for ivillage or blogher either).

  2. 1982 Year Zero, the Year of No Fear: New Actions for a New Era

  3. I’ve been seeing that Year Zero around for about a week–fucking brilliant. I even thought about sending you a link, but I guess you found it anyway…

  4. You should interview the Dirty Three if you get the chance, at least people will be able to tell the difference between Warren Ellis and Warren Ellis at last.

  5. I have to say that reading

“Female koalas indulge in lesbian “sex sessions”, rejecting male suitors and attempting to mate with each other, sometimes up to five at a time”

in a Steve Irwin voice made me laugh quite a bit.

  6. NIN’s Year Zero has been a sensational example of how brilliantly viral marketing can work. It doesn’t hurt that I’m loving the new record, but this marketing campaign has just been simply engrossing.

  7. The Year Zero AGR marketing campaign is designed by 42 Entertainment, the people behind The Beast (For the film A.I.) and I Love Bess (Halo 2) AGRs.

Hence the level of quality, and why, even if you’re anything but a fan, it’s worth checking out.

You can get all 3 currently officially leaked songs here, as well as the single: http://symphonyofnoise.com/nails/yearzero/

  8. The YearZero campaign is fun, has some weird, spooky tones (the audio files of terrorist attacks, websites about ‘what to do when you’re tortured’ and a 9/11-like memorial site to a dirty bombing of Hollywood) but, eh, that Hand of God? That’s quite a skinny, anemic, unimpressive visitation!
