The Kristamas Klousch image below is entitled “These Days.” And that set something nagging in my mind, I knew I knew a piece of music of that title, with this kind of mood. Took me ten minutes. I was thinking of “These Days..” by Her Space Holiday, a long instrumental which, by minute 4, sounds like a million steel-winged angels in flight.
I therefore leave you tonight with These Days, twice:

Are you shitting me? That maniac is so far removed from reality that we here on planet earth look like ants to him. He is shitting us. He’s totally shitting us. He is shitting us, each and every one. He would shit us all individually if he could, but time constraints being what they are, he must shit us en masse. Just be aware: you, personally, have been shitted. This guy, he really knows how to shit people. If he were a martial artist, he’d be Shit-Yu — and his shit-fu would be strong.
Jesus H. Christ.
The shit. The shit.

I was obsessed with this title sequence for months, back when the show was being serialised…
(And it’s nice that all the video sites’ content has matured to the point where I can find and store this stuff here in my outboard brain)

The photographer, “Massive Defeat,” just added me on Flickr, so I took a look at their shots, and there are some amazing shots from active duty in Iraq. Here’s a sample:
Originally hidden outside the base, all these MiGs were towed here in 2003. Now they’re testament to any number of love affairs, many of which are likely over. LSA Anaconda, Balad, Iraq, 24Nov2006.
