The first time I saw Bill Hicks was on TV. It was BBC2, some late-night comedy show — I think maybe a collection of acts from Montreux? 1986? Somewhere around then. On stage and shrieking, literally bent over and shrieking about the lack of guts in rock’n'roll. Just suffused with fucking hatred. And I thought, yeah, this guy knows.
These days, everyone knows who Bill Hicks was. But a little more never hurts. ONE NIGHT STAND is 28 minutes long.

The Kristamas Klousch image below is entitled “These Days.” And that set something nagging in my mind, I knew I knew a piece of music of that title, with this kind of mood. Took me ten minutes. I was thinking of “These Days..” by Her Space Holiday, a long instrumental which, by minute 4, sounds like a million steel-winged angels in flight.
I therefore leave you tonight with These Days, twice:
“These Days” – Her Space Holiday
